Abstract
The learning process is a process of interaction between students and lecturers. Interaction in the learning process needs to be supported by a good understanding between students and lecturers. However, there are still many lecturers who do not understand the characteristics of students, especially regarding the different learning styles of students. The purpose of this research is to identify student learning styles using the Dempster-Shafer Theory algorithm. This study uses input from a questionnaire consisting of a number of questions to identify student learning styles. The data obtained from the questionnaire were then processed using the Dempster-Shafer Theory algorithm to classify student learning styles, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. The results of this study indicate that the Dempster-Shafer Theory algorithm can be used to identify student learning styles correctly so that they can provide appropriate information to lecturers regarding student learning styles. Based on the results of the identification of student learning styles, further research can be carried out to develop methods or applications that can help lecturers in designing learning that suits student learning styles.
