Abstract
The study evaluated the Workplace Environment and Performance of State Universities in South East, Nigeria. The specific objectives were to: examine the relationship between team work and students’ satisfaction and evaluate the relationship between leadership style and creation of opportunities of state universities in South East, Nigeria. The area of the study was the state universities in South East, Nigeria. The study used the descriptive survey design approach. The primary source of data was the administration of questionnaire. The actual population was three thousand, two hundred and fifty staff (3250). The adequate sample size of Three hundred and forty-four (344) staff, the study used Freund and William's statistic formula as quoted by (Uzoagulu, 2011) at 5% margin of error. The population of the study was drawn from the staff of these organizations under study using a stratified sampling method. Three hundred and seventeen (317) staff returned the questionnaire and accurately filled. Data was presented and analyzed using Likert Scale and the hypotheses using Pearson correlation coefficient (r). The findings indicated: i.
