Aims
The International Journal of Poetics and Cultural Identity (IJPCI) is a peer-reviewed open-access platform dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary scholarship at the nexus of poetic expression and cultural identity formation. Recognizing poetry and prose as dynamic forces in the construction, negotiation, and transformation of collective and individual identities, the journal aims to foster critical inquiry into how literary forms articulate, challenge, and reshape cultural traditions, narratives of belonging, and discourses of gender equality. By bridging literary studies, cultural theory, postcolonial critique, and gender studies, IJPCI seeks to illuminate the role of verse and narrative in both preserving and subverting inherited identities, particularly in contexts of migration, diaspora, and globalization. The journal encourages contributions that explore the intersections of poetics with politics, memory, spirituality, and social justice, with a special emphasis on underrepresented voices and vernacular traditions.
