About
Aims The International Journal of Political Ecology (IJPEC) provides a critical interdisciplinary forum for scholarship that analyzes the dynamic relationships between political structures, economic systems, and ecological change. The journal aims to advance theoretical and empirical understandings of environmental justice, resource governance, and sustainability by connecting diverse approaches from political science, human geography, sociology, anthropology, environmental studies, and related fields. IJPEC prioritizes research that interrogates power asymmetries, social inequalities, and historical legacies of colonialism and capitalism in shaping environmental outcomes. We seek to bridge scholarly rigor with real-world relevance, fostering dialogue among academics, policymakers, activists, and practitioners committed to confronting ecological crises and building more just and sustainable futures.
