About this journal
Aims The International Journal of Soil Health and Sustainable Management (IJSHSM) aims to advance the scientific understanding and practical application of soil health principles in the context of sustainable land management and climate resilience. The journal seeks to provide a platform for interdisciplinary research that addresses the complex interactions between soil properties, ecosystem functions, and human interventions. By promoting innovative methodologies for soil quality assessment and conservation strategies, IJSHM aims to support the development of integrated management practices that sustain soil ecosystem services under changing environmental conditions. The journal emphasizes the translation of research into actionable knowledge for farmers, land managers, and policymakers, thereby contributing to global food security, climate mitigation, and environmental sustainability. Scope IJSHM covers a broad range of topics related to soil health and sustainable management, including but not limited to: • Soil quality indicators and assessment methodologies • Conservation agriculture and tillage practices • Organic matter dynamics and carbon sequestration • Nutrient management and soil fertility • Soil erosion control and land degradation neutrality • Integrated pest and disease management in soils • Soil biodiversity and ecological interactions • Climate change impacts on soil processes • Adaptive management strategies for soil sustainability • Policy and socio-economic aspects of soil conservation Article Types • Original Research Articles • Comprehensive Review Articles • Short Communications • Case Studies • Perspectives and Opinion Pieces • Methodology Papers • Data Descriptors • Letters to the Editor Audience The journal targets a diverse audience including soil scientists, agronomists, ecologists, environmental researchers, land-use planners, policy makers, extension agents, and graduate students.
