About IJCCSD

Sustainable Development Goal 13 aims to “take urgent action to combat climate change and its impact”. Climate change is one of the world's most pressing issues. Climate change has an influence on people, the economy, and the environment; it influences development processes and policies at all levels. In general, a warming climate system is expected to affect the supply of fundamental requirements such as freshwater, food security, and energy, while attempts to mitigate and adapt to climate change would similarly inform and define the global development agenda. Climate change and sustainable development are inextricably linked. Poor and developing countries, particularly least developed countries, will be among those most adversely affected and least able to cope with the anticipated shocks to their social, economic and natural systems. There is need to defend the environment against deterioration.
